Emry 5 Weeks old!!!

Time is flying by!!! I can't believe he is five weeks now! And he is getting so big so fast! Yes my little man definately knows how to eat. He used to know how to sleep too but he likes to be awake these days, well actually these nights! Not too much fun for mommy who likes to actually sleep. Oh well, I signed up for it right?

Well it's been a little while since I've been able to post. Devin and I decided to move back to Wyoming to work and earn shares in the family business. So we came out two weeks ago and stayed in a hotel while we found a place to live. We were waiting for these brand new apartments to finish and open up. We were able to move in on thursday night then move our stuff from our old apartment on Saturday. It was a very long weekend. But we're all moved in but won't be really unpacking much because we plan on buying our home very soon just want to keep doing lots of research so we make the right choice.
Devin is loving working out here again and being around his family. His little brother moved out here with his wife and son. So Devin's best friend is around all the time. It's a lot of fun for me and Mandi as well considering how great of friends we were during school and now our little boys will get to grow up and play together all the time.
On Sunday Devin and I celebrated our first anniversary. It was a fantastic day because we were able to also bless Emry. It was so awesome to spend the day with family. We originally planned the blessing in Utah but due to a super uncool storm and my Mother getting sick we had to switch to Wyoming because I didn't want to switch days. I was really sad that our friends and my family weren't able to attend. Hopefully you'll all get to come to our sealing. We have it planned for April 25th in the Bountiful temple.

Emry 13 Days Old!!

So our baby boy is officially 13 Days OLD!!! Man time is flying. He has his two week check up tomorrow. He's so excited! So here's the low down....
Emry was born Wednesday the 25Th and we went home on Thursday. He was doing really great when we left he hospital but still needed to go to the Dr the next day to have him checked for jaundice and such. Well we went to the Dr and discovered that he had dropped to 6 lbs 4 ounces so we were really scared he was eating like we thought he was. Though he wasn't crying for food so we thought he was eating. Felt like he was eating that's for sure. So we were advised to keep trying to feed him and if it didn't improve over the weekend then to give him a bottle. I started pumping just to have bottles just in case. We gave a few here and there because it's a lot lot easier to give him a bottle at three in the morning after he's cried for an hour because mom's nipples are cooperating. Anyway the Dr also told us he was tongue tied so we had to get his tongue clipped so he could eat more easily since his tongue can't move up to do the massaging it needs to do to get milk. He's still eating good. We went to the Dr on Monday to have his circumcision done and he weighed 6 lbs 7 ounces so gained three ounces in 3 days! We were SO happy! Then on Thursday he had his tongue appointment which the Dr decided that he didn't need to be clipped yet. He wants to see if nature will work its course and stretch his tongue since he's eating so good. So Saturday we discover that our baby just plain smells so bad! We didn't know if he had an infection on the circumcision or if his belly button leftover was infected. We get to the Dr and he says awe no he's fine. UGH WE WERE SO ANNOYED!!! We paid 62 bucks for his to not even look or smell the boy! Anyway we weighed him again and he was 6 lbs 14 ounces! Back to his birth weight!! We were SO dang happy! So he was supposed to have reached in by his two week visit so we're hoping for over seven pounds tomorrow. I can't wait to find out! So Emry is doing great. He is such a great baby. He has some bad nights where he wants to fuss and cry a bit and not sleep but other than that he's fantastic. Better than either of us expected! He just loves to stare around. He loves lights and music. Especially his swing. He loves to hold your hand when he's eating so when daddy is home it's great to have that extra hand! He loves to sneeze and fart. Which he now is starting to smile when it's coming on. It's really adorable. He has a giant dimple on his face that he got from his Grandpa Anderson! We've only gotten to see it twice so far. We can't wait for the real smiles and giggles. Last night when he was crying for food and trying to eat he said his first word! I swear! Devin's my witness. He said momma while screaming into my breast trying to latch on... It was hilarious!! Oh man. He knows when daddy gets home he starts to spaz out and grabbing every direction waiting for daddy's kiss. I love it!! Devin doesn't believe me. I need to record it today for him. He is falling us around the room when we move now too! And holding his head up really good too thought not for long. He hates when we leave him in a room alone too. He starts talking like HEY HEY what are you doing!!! OH he does this too when mom and dad kiss. It's so cute. Okay I'm not sure you all want to to read all of this but since this is pretty much my diary of our life right now you get to read every thought I have.
Mom is doing great too! She keeps getting told she DOES NOT look like she just had a baby. I beg to differ. But I did weigh myself when I left the hospital and then at the Dr's on Saturday. I have dropped about 15 pounds so far. I'm about 7 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight granted most of that weight was muscle mass so I'm about 12 pounds from my normal okay weight. But I feel great! I love feeling somewhat skinny again. I can move around though I'm still not supposed. But I feel fantastic knowing I can do what I want because I don't have to protect a kid inside me. I love not being pregnant!! LOVE IT and so does Devin. VERY VERY MUCH! poor guy. I think he'll think twice or twenty times when we decided to have our next baby. I love him so much! I however did get an infection in my breast called mastitis which kills kills kills. It is caused by several different things but mostly by Emry's germs getting in through cracks in the nipple. Which to start with the cracks hurt, then to add an infection inside that makes your breast swell like a watermelon! Honestly I keep falling sideways off balance! To the right! Yes it's in the Left one! So weird. Mastitis makes you feel like you have the flu. Fever, chills, nausea, sweats, and major major body pain. It hasn't been fun. But it's on the mend and Emry is doing great even though I'm taking medicine. He's such a trooper. Okay I don't have anything else on my mind so here's a ton of pictures of our little man. Sorry about the gross one of our little family. It was spur of the moment. I look hideous!

Emry 38 Weeks

So we're finally nearing the end and soon we'll have a fun baby boy to hold and spoil and love. I can't wait. Literally! We have a projected date of the 25th that we know I'll be induced but hopefully Emry decides he loves his mom and wants to meet her sooner. Other than counting down the days, praying that each pain is going to be a contraction that means labor is finally starting, we've been helping out my Mom. Her house up here in Clearfield finally closed last week so they have been cleaning like crazy to try and get the house ready so they can move by the end of the month. They decided to paint and put down carpet before they move so it'll feel fresh and clean again for the proud new owners. Honestly we have no new news because all we can think about is getting the baby out and getting no sleep. Yes we are actually excited about this because it means we have our son in our arms!!! We still have no plans or dates for the blessing and sealing but hopefully we'll figure that out soon and can make plans for family to come. I can't wait. Hope everyone is enjoying the two feet of snow!!!

Baby Shower 2009

We'll start with a recap of the week. We spent the week cleaning and finishing decorating some of the apartment. We've been trying to get things wrapped up and ready for Emry to arrive. I had my 36 week appointment on Thursday and found out that we are going to have him two weeks early! So for sure we're inducing on the 20Th if he hasn't come on his own by then. I am so excited to know that I only have eleven more days for sure. We almost thought he was coming Yesterday but turned out to be a really long and painful day/night of fake contractions. I'm so incredibly sore today.
So we got most of the house ready and just finishing up the baby room and waiting for his crib and play pen to arrive. I'm so excited to hold my baby soon. So is Devin! I love that he has so much enthusiasm to hold his baby boy. I'm so blessed to have a husband like him. Oh and he's been such a great help since he's been doing all the cleaning, building and heavy lifting these last few weeks. Such a big help!
Saturday was my baby shower that my best friend Barbs threw for me. It was so much fun to have most of my friends there and to play games! We had food and cake too! YUM!!! She did such a fantastic job on the shower. I haven't felt so good in such a long time. My friends actually do like me!!! LoL unless you've been pregnant you won't get that last line. You think everyone hates you.
We got some pictures and video of the shower but unfortunately not a single one is anyone looking at the camera. So I won't embarrass anyone by putting up funny pictures of people. But just remember I have them......JK
Oh and before the Shower, My mom, Barbs and I went and had a pedicure! It was fun to sit around and be pampered while we talked. So much fun!!! I loved Saturday!!!

So tomorrow is a huge huge day!!! My husband will officially be a quarter century old. Ask him if he's excited. He doesn't show it but I know he is. His mom got him this big tool set for his birthday and he just sat and stared at it last night. He can't wait to open it! I gotta find a tool box to put the tools in first. We decided not to do birthday gifts this year for each other because of our budget but I'm gonna sneak a little something something home and wrap for him. We're also going to get Mario Kart as a gift from family so he's stoke about that......and so should Barbara!!!

It's also the anniversary of our first kiss. I loved that day, he accidentally told me he loved me too but I just teased him about it and didn't take it for real. Who knew he really did!!!

So on Saturday I was on my way down to play with my mom and she called and her blood pressure was super super high so I rushed her to the ER as soon as I got there. She's alright thank goodness, just had a touch of vertigo but let me tell you, the medicine they gave her made her so entirely doped out, I couldn't stop laughing. I witnessed my mom stoned and in her happy place. It was awesome. Even more awesome that it helped her feel a little bit better.

While I was driving down there thought, I received a phone call and was told Devin and I had won a trip to San Diego! It includes airfare and hotel for 2 nights. I was excited! So that's what we're doing tomorrow night is picking up our package we won which included a gift card to olive garden and a gas card. So we're going to celebrate Devin's day by going to dinner. We're excited. He might get a paid day off as well! We're hoping he gets that.

Nothing new has happened this past week except I got word from the doc that I have free range again as long as I listen to my body and rest when I need to! I'm thirty six weeks so in eight more days Emry will officially not be considered premature if he makes his debut so by all means start praying that he'll come out! He's already 6 pounds so he'll be plenty big by then. I can't wait to not be pregnant anymore!!!!
