Crazy Crazy!!

Not too much has been happening in the Anderson Household of late. Our landlord returned from Hawaii and got our shower fixed....hopefully. Fingers crossed. He felt so bad about the problem that he gave us a $50 Gift Card to this really expensive restaurant in our area. So we were looking for something to do on Saturday and decided to go for dinner. Okay can I tell you that I was NOT expecting to be going to dinner or anything. We just decided to go like ten minutes after he gave us the card. So we left the house and found the restaurant. I got out of the car and realized I WAS IN MY SWEATS!!! I looked so grubby! So we're walking in and there are people EVERYWHERE in their prom gowns and cocktail dresses and tuxes. I was embarrassed but we were starving! So we got seated in the back which has windows galore!!! The restaurant is located on a hillside overlooking the Bay here in Washington facing the west. So we ordered our food and sat and watched the sun go down. It was totally romantic! I couldn't have even imagined us getting to do something like that. Devin isn't exactly the romantic idea planner type guy....STEVE PLEASE HELP HIM!!! Oh and the food!!!!! It was soooooooo sooooo good. Devin got a 12 ounce rib eye steak and I got my chicken parmesian with fettecine alfredo. It was sooooooo good. Man I wanna go back but I would never ever spend that much money on food. So I was really grateful to get to spend the evening with my husband. Holding hands and talking. I love him so much. He is so dang sweet. He pampered me all day Sunday because I was in a lot of pain. I wish I would have had my camera with us this weekend, the sun was shining and it was beautiful!! Devin just got home so I'm officially distracted!! I CAN"T WAIT FOR HALLOWEEN!!!

Finally Some Time!

Alrighty, All our Good News...
Here is a picture of our sweet baby boy. He really loves to move around and throw his head back! We were really lucky to have him moving around so much during the ultrasound. So we got a very good profile picture or him. We have a name picked out for him but I change my mind every other day as to whether I like it or not so I'm going to keep it a secret for now. Our due date is still around March 4th, which is the day Devin came home from his Mission, so he's excited to see if he's going to arrive that day.

I had Devin take a picture of my Belly just for Barbara...she's been begging to see it. And now that I have one, I don't mind showing everyone! It's exciting to finally have a tummy so people know why you are throwing up and looking like you just fell off a bus every day. Yes it's a cheese picture, but eh that's me. So I am 21 weeks now. It's weird that it goes by really fast when it seems like time is standing still. I have about four months left. Now that's just crazy!!!

So being pregnant....it's nothing like anyone tells you it's going to be. You can read a ton of books and most will tell you the same things with little variance, but the most important part is that NO ONE has any idea what your pregnancy will be like. Mine, seems to be exactly opposite of what they say it should be. They all say that the second trimester is supposed to be the best. You have the most energy, you stop throwing up, and other married things get better. But let me tell you this is not the case for me. Though the back ache disappeared for awhile, the throwing up never stopped. And I have absolutely no appetite. Not because I'm afraid of it coming back up, just never ever hungry. I eat less now than I did non-pregnant. Believe me, this scares me. Especially when you go to buy maternity clothes and you find that you are now a size four instead of the eight you were before you were knocked up. JUST WEIRD!!! I also have no energy. This could be because I've been sick, but I haven't experienced the boost of energy yet. Just the urge to sleep forever. Which I practically do most days. Sad to say...I feel lazy. Devin has been really great though. He makes sure that I'm eating and lets me stay in bed as much as I can. Which really is a blessing. It hurts to much to get out of bed, walk downstairs, search and cook food, then feel so sick that I couldn't stand the thought of eating. So I drink a glass of milk and go back upstairs, cry and fall asleep. Yes very sad. Oh that brings me to another subject.....EMOTIONS!!!

Seriously being pregnant just plain makes you stupid and crazy in your husband eyes. Or at least make you feel that way. I cannot remember anything for the life of me. Or pay attention long enough to have any clue what anyone is talking about or asking me. As for the crazy, I had one day in particular that I woke up and wanted nothing to do with Devin. He was annoying me so much that I just wanted him far far away from me. Then about thirty minutes later, He couldn't be close enough. I needed him hugging me constantly. Like holding my hand just wasnt good enough. Then thirty minutes later I'd be annoyed again and pushing him away. Okay so this went on thee ENTIRE day! With a few spells of crying for no reason because a book or show was making me sad. Suffice to say Devin just stared at me with questioning eyes like "who are you and what did you do with my wife?" I'm crazy!!

So a few things that no one really talks about....
For women, we pretty much spend our entire lives trying to loose weight and look good. One of the weirdest things for me so far has been to step on a scale. Where for once, you don't feel guilty when you see you weigh more! Can I tell you that its an amazing feeling! Its the one time in your life that the pressure is off your shoulders to be thin! Granted I still look at myself in the mirror and think, Will I even look the same? Or walk through stores knowing that all the pretty clothes in it may never fit. I spend a lot of time getting excited for all the things I can't wait to do once Im not pregnant anymore....
Snowmobiling, snow and water skiing, rollercoasters, motorcycles, HIGH HEELS!! Lots of other things that I can't remember anymore...

okay I hate to admit this but I've lost my trains of thought so that's all I've got for Preggo time.

Oh ya in the background is our messy new apartment. I haven't finished unpacking yet so some stuff is just sitting around still. But I really just don't care anymore. So it can just sit. But about our apartment. Me moved in finally last Thursday. Its a studio apartment that is furnished so we didn't have to worry about finding a bed to sleep on etc. So it was really awesome that we found this place. Not to mention our Landlord is LDS and graduated from Utah State. Small world!!

We spend Saturday at a Snow Show Expo. It's pretty much Heaven for Devin these days. He LOVES snowmobiling and the show was all about snowmobiling. They had all the new sleds for the different brands, and trailers, and all the crazy accessories people can think of that they need. Plus it was a swap meet so random people just had lots of random things. Im very thankful to say that we walked about with only spending 2.50 on scones. Which are really really good, but are usually only around during the fair is September. So I was really excited to have one. YUM YUM! Devin is in the process though of buying another snowmobile so he's literally on the computer all day long. Which is another reason it's taken a while for me to post. I was never allowed on the computer longer than two minutes to check email, if that.

Devin just started working again on Monday. Though he wanted to try something new, He's running a Fedex route in the Olympia area. It's a lot easier that what he was doing in Wyoming so hopefully it keeps going well. I am looking for a part time job for the next few months to have extra money for baby. Granted I really don't want to work. But sitting at home doing nothing is ten times more boring so I'll be working :)

Hmmmm Nothing else seems to be going on that's exciting so I guess this'll be my sign off. Hope everyone is doing great and We miss you ALL!!!

Rachel's First Blog

Okay so I have to admit, this is scary to do! I'm all grown up and don't know how to create a blog, how sad is that. So I hope this turns out well, let me know if I've done something wrong.

So Devin and Rachel's Life? We've been married for six months yesterday! Time really does fly! We celebrated by going to a buffet because Devin loves to eat! Then we played with our Niece, Samantha, 4, and Nephew, Avery 21 months, at the park. We fed ducks and got chased by geese. Those suckers are scary! They will beak you to death! Then played at the playground and beach. It was a beautiful day in the Sun in Washington. Oh I guess I should mention we moved to Washington.

So we decided to pack up and move to Washington for the next 7 months to try things out. Devin is looking for a new job away from the Fedex business so we'll see how that turns out. I hope he finds something he will love doing! I am searching for an apt for us to live in too. It's fun! I'm excited to finally have our first place together! So for now we are running errands and going to the doctor which is the main reason we came. Oh I think I forgot to mention that we are pregnant!

I estimate myself to be at 18 weeks today but am not completely sure. My first official doctor visit is tomorrow so I'll keep ya updated on the result! We think it's a boy so we'll see if the whole mother's intuition is really true. Being pregnant has really been crazy! I feel bad most of the time for Devin because he's had to be working and catering to the whims of a pregnant person at the same time. Believe me that can be hard. My first couple months I was put on bed rest. I wasn't allowed to walk or stand for more than ten minutes and couldn't lift more than ten pounds. It was so frustrating not to be allowed to do anything! And believe me, I wasn't allowed. I got yelled at a lot. oops :) I eventually learned to listen. Then the morning sickness kicked in about the time the doctors tell you it's supposed to be stopping. So I guess I'm having a backwards pregnancy. It's definately a unique and exciting time in life. Lots of emotions and changes for sure and I am sooooooo very happy that I get to do it all with my BEAUTIFUL HUSBAND!! Man is he gorgeous with a kid in his arms! Okay I know some people get obsessed with talking about being pregnant so I'll try to keep it to a minimum. TRY!

So besides the current status of our life we had a few other things happen. We flew to Kentucky to pick up a Fed-Ex truck for Devin's dad and drove it back to Wyoming. The drive was beautiful and we got to meet some very interesting people. We definately didn't experience any of the southern hospitality we hear about. However we did get to stop in Kansas and visit some great friends that are going to school there. We had a blast! We miss them so much. They are so good and making our sides hurt with laughter. So we stayed for the night and talked a lot and caught up on life. We went out to eat at a Mongolian Buffet and the Steve and Devin got to eat a lot of food. No wonder they are friends! Anna and I got to talk a lot about being Newlyweds and compare secrets. We played Catch Phrase the rest of the night which is SOOOO FUN! Then slept and continued Driving. So in the past week we've drove 2400 miles! Crazy!!!!

I can't think of much else that's exciting so I'll get some pictures up soon and keep on playing to get the blog looking pretty!
